At the Brain Health Clinic, the neuropsychological evaluation is a comprehensive assessment of cognitive, behavioral functions and emotion, vital to the diagnosis of neurodegenerative and other disorders. This assessment uses standardized tests to assess higher cognitive functions such as memory, attention, problem solving, and language skills.
We also use modern software such as the Cambridge Neuropsychological Test Automated Battery (CANTAB) which is a widely used, computerized tool for neuropsychological assessment. Developed at the University of Cambridge, it provides a comprehensive suite of tests designed to measure various aspects of cognitive function, including memory, attention, executive function and decision-making.
We have the ability to integrate neuroimaging data for a holistic assessment of brain health.

What can we evaluate?
Our neuropsychological assessments cover a wide range of cognitive processes, including:
Both short-term and long-term memory skills are assessed to detect any signs of impairment typical of conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
Initial assessment
Each evaluation starts with an initial consultation that includes taking a detailed medical history, gathering information about the presenting complaint, relevant risk factors and a systems review.
Diagnostic tests
Patients undergo a series of tests administered by experienced neuropsychologists. These tests are selected based on the patient's symptoms and medical history to ensure a comprehensive assessment of cognitive functions.
Results are analyzed carefully to identify patterns of disruption and compared with data adjusted for age, education and cultural background.
A detailed report is prepared, which summarizes the findings and provides diagnostic information. Further special tests can be recommended.
Following this evaluation, our team also collaborates with other specialists such as psychiatrists, dietitians, physiotherapists, etc. to integrate the neuropsychological findings into the patients' overall treatment plan. This multidisciplinary approach ensures that our care is holistic, taking into account all aspects of patients' neurological and mental health.
Continuous Follow-up
For patients with chronic conditions or those undergoing treatment that may affect cognitive function, periodic reassessment is required. This helps monitor changes over time, adjust treatments and support patients and their families.
